Well, I agree they wouldn't film in Pittsburgh but we film here in NYC all winter long. They've been shooting something on Grand Street all winter long, 6 parked cars in the middle of the street (not at curb) in the middle of the workday for weeks.wpgrace wrote:Raven wrote:Wouldn't it be filming in LA if it gets picked up?
I cannot imagine they would really continue to film in Pittsburgh. Cold. Weather issues. Outside shots get difficult. Cast isn't used to that cold. Plus all the tech and support peeps are in Hollywood. Did I mention the cold? There is a REASON Hollywood happened in LA....

CBS orders "Three Rivers" pilot from Carol Barbee EP of Swingtown and Jericho, yay Carol !!!
CBS has given a greenlight for a pilot for Three Rivers created by Carol Barbee and will be Executive Produced by her as well as Curtis Hanson and Carol Fenelon.
Three Rivers centers upon organ transplants, with each story told from the point of view of the doctor, the recipient and the donor.
We look forward to CBS giving a series order for Three Rivers !!
That was my thought too at first, that they would probably shoot in LA and do the occasional excursion to PA, but CBS is purposefully looking for shows that are shot elsewhere in order to save money. A lot of states are now offering big tax breaks in order to lure TV and movie productions. So who knows, right?Fleur de Lisa wrote:They are probably using Pittsburgh for exterior shots, much like they use Chicago when they film ER. And Chicago is also host to many film and tv shoots. Wow, thanks MSJ_sun. The producers chose Pittsburgh for the $75 million tax incentive program but the PA senators want to cancel the program... So, "Keezer said if the tax credit program is canceled, it could have an impact on "Three Rivers" filming episodes beyond the pilot locally."MSJ_sunglasses wrote:Pittsburgh would love it

The networks are under pressure to cut where they can. Just within the past couple of days, Without a Trace and Cold Case were put on notice that they might not return because of high costs and diminishing ratings. The cast may be asked to take pay cuts and they might be forced to film elsewhere as well if they want to continue, but even that might not guarantee that they'll be sticking around.
Sounds like bad news for them and possible good news for any possible pilot pick-ups.
There are no plans for a CM spinoff, Rav, only NCIS spinoff. My money is still in for an ex-Navy SEAL Dominic Vaile in the NCIS spinoff that I'm curious they still haven't cast yet. (Have they?) In the 3/9 Aussie interview, Alex said he's optimistic but wasn't sure which production he'll be in. I figure he may have more than one option. Maybe CBS's reserving that spot for Alex in case this one doesn't come into fruition.Raven wrote:ha ha ha. I'm two for two. Thanks Pam for giving us such great news!!!
So...I WILL NOT say that the series is 100% getting picked up for the fall schedule.![]()
Whew.
Congratulations Alex!!!! And yay for us!!!
Actually, Overdamoon, "Washington Field" is the spin off from Criminal Minds. It's being produced by the same people. The CM blog that has Alex's pictures on it talks about it.Overdamoon wrote:

Thanks for the info, Amy! I just knew that someone would find out that info.amyvil wrote:Actually, Overdamoon, "Washington Field" is the spin off from Criminal Minds. It's being produced by the same people. The CM blog that has Alex's pictures on it talks about it.Overdamoon wrote:

And whoever asked which studio is going to be producing "Miami Trauma", it's Warner Bros. and we know how good they are about containing costs ("Speed Racer" anyone). Since Three Rivers is going to be produced by CBS Paramount Studios, that alone would give it the edge over Miami Trauma.
